Personal Sensing using Internet of Medical Things for Smart Healthcare Applications

Traditional Healthcare services have been around for decades in most developed countries. These services consume a large portion of health care budget. The healthcare staff are also burdened due to many reported health related cases. To help in the prevailing conditions, latest technological development can play an important role. It introduces novel and well-organized means to transform the existing healthcare infrastructure. With the use of state-of-the-art technologies, incorporation of smart sensors, use of machine and deep learning, the health conditions of patient can be evaluated without investing excessive money and manpower. This Special Session aims to provide a forum to present the state-of-the-art advancements in Personal Sensing using Internet of Medical Things for Smart Healthcare Applications.
Topics include but not limited to:

  • Energy management;
  • Energy scavenging technologies;
  • Fault tolerance;
  • Gateways and inter-working;
  • Localization;
  • Information processing and aggregation;
  • Internet of things;
  • Machine based analysis, optimization and diagnosis of medical conditions
